I have an antique (circa 1750) Colonial that needed a total kitchen refresh, but we were concerned with insuring anything we did would improve the kitchen without ruining it's old world charm. Not only did all the Reynolds work meet that criteria, it looks absolutely stunning, while still maintaining the budget we needed to adhere to!
I was so impressed with their work, we ended up also having them make a matching vanity for the bathroom near the kitchen. I can't recommend Reynolds Custom Woodwork's enough!

Kris built a custom kitchen in a major remodel of an older home and did a fabulous job of making use of the available space. Having come from a new home with a VERY large kitchen with a lot of storage, Kris made the more limited space not only very functional but beautiful. While the entire home was gutted and remodeled, the kitchen is THE WOW factor everyone comments on when they walk in. Kris also built out a gorgeous bar and matching cabinets in the dining room as well as the master bath. I would highly recommend Kris for your next project!

Kris Reynolds designed, built and installed custom cherry cabinets for our new kitchen. Because our renovation was of a Victorian home, he had to deal with all the issues that go with restoring an old house. We found Kris to be a joy--his work is superb--much better than any larger firm; the cabinets are first class in every way. Kris was always available for any questions or changes; he worked closely with our granite counter top installers and, through the entire process, he was really pleasant. He is a thoroughly nice guy and a true artist with wood. We highly recommend him.

Reynolds Custom Woodworks did my entire kitchen cabinetry. Great to work with. Took my design thoughts and worked them into a fully functional space including special details, i.e. small cabinets, pull out spice rack, large file drawer and refrigerator surround. Even last minute adjustments when it was discovered there was a 2" sag in the kitchen floor. Can't tell there was even an issue once every piece was installed.

My wife and I hired Reynolds Custom Woodworks to design, build, and install our new cabinets for our kitchen remodel. Kris took care of everything. From lining up the granite supplier for our counter tops, to building and installing the cabinets, to the fine details we cared about like soft close doors, spice racks, and knobs. Reynolds Custom Kitchens constructed and installed a new set of kitchen cabinets and a center bar all with granite counter tops. The cabinets were painted an off white color while the center bar was constructed of a natural walnut finish. Kris Reynolds was very professional and did a great job working with us on the project. The project came in on time and budget. The kitchen came out great. Prior to starting he sat down with us and offered many different options and gave us some great ideas on how it should look and how it should be set up for everyday use. The cabinets are very well constructed and are very solid/durable. I really don't believe that you would get this kind of construction from a non custom cabinet supplier. Since completion, we have had many compliments on the kitchen. If we were to do another kitchen at any time in the future, we would definitely use Reynolds Custom Kitchens.

Reynolds Custom Woodworks remodeled our kitchen last year. This was by far the best experience we have ever had with a contractor. Kris was professional, honest, timely and a pleasure to work with. The quality and attention to detail was outstanding, Kris is a highly skilled craftsman, the kitchen came out exactly as we had hoped. From design, to production, to install everything was exactly as they promised and when they promised it.

Kris certainly knows how to build quality custom cabinets! When it came to designing the cabinets, he was extremely accommodating, explaining the many options and allowing me to choose the particulars to my kitchen cabinet needs; but at the same time he would explain the pros and cons to my options. He was professional yet extremely friendly and he was always here when scheduled. The cabinets are still looking beautiful after nearly three years - wouldn't change a thing! To this day, I still receive compliments and I very much enjoy working in my beautiful kitchen!

Kris worked with us to develop a wonderful cabinet layout to complement the architecture in our kitchen. Using local companies and materials is important to us. Kris is all of this and an excellent craftsman as well. It is now five years since the cabinets have been installed and we have never had any issues with them. Two complete kitchens in our two houses. Total of probably 50 lineal feet of cabinets, wall paneling and a large pantry, all custom style and design. Two sets of bookcases also complicated and custom. Also a bed and a large rolling door.

My husband and I contacted Kris about building our kitchen cabinets. We had been shopping around for about 6 months trying to find the style and quality we were looking for, but either the product was not high quality or the company did not understand our vision. Kris came in with the best product and best customer service we have experienced in renovating our home. Kris and his team pay close attention to detail and listen to you while giving very helpful feedback on what will and will not work for your space. My husband and I learned a lot from Kris and even though completely renovating a kitchen is a huge undertaking, it was an extremely enjoyable process. Before becoming a professional artist I had a career in single family home design and construction. Over the years I have worked with many builders and tradespeople. Kris Reynolds is tops in his field. A few years ago I had Kris build us a custom kitchen.The whole process from working with my design to the install was flawless. This past year I had him back to build a custom built-in for our living room. Because I know construction (yes as well as the boys) I have a certain way I want things done to achieve my desired result. Kris is easy to work with, listens and collaborates. He is an ethical businessman and a fantastic craftsman, a rare combo.

Kris and his crew built new kitchen cabinets for our condo at Sugarloaf. I had originally looked at cabinets from a kitchen design store but ultimately I went with Kris as it was important to me to support a small local business. I don't think I could have made a better decision. Kris was easy to work with and patient as our layout plans changed. Once plans were finalized our cabinets were built, installed and painted quickly. Our cabinets are solid, beautiful and top quality.

I highly recommend Reynolds Custom Woodworking. We were lucky to find Kris. We live in Central Eastern Maine, and my wife and I decided to take on a complete demo and remodel of 115 year old American Four Square in Bangor, with me as the General Contractor (first time). Back to Kris and Reynolds Custom Woodwork. Forget that the workmanship is exquisite, and that we've been dreaming of custom inset cabinetry for years, forget the one inch solid maple doors and drawer fronts, forget the attention to detail and that you end up with heirloom quality furniture like cabinets, forget all that and you end up with this: A guy who has the patience of a saint while working with us (we designed the place ourselves, and did a majority of the work ourselves). Kris always took our calls and offered advice on just about anything I could ask. We also had him build a custom inset cabinet double vanity for our master bath out of some incredible Doug Fir stock. Kris worked with our poor scheduling, our constant changes, and our inexperience with all the details you pay an architect to deal with. The result, our dream kitchen, a true 'Houzz' kitchen, I did find Kris on Houzz and he has a shop less than an hour from here, in Maine that's unheard of. Our goal was to have an open concept kitchen that would become our family and social centerpiece. Goal achieved, we love kitchen. We bought a house 2 years ago knowing that we would eventually remodel the kitchen and dining room. It was important to us to maintain the interior style of an old 1800's farmhouse, use the existing space more efficiently, and improve the quality of that space. We started the project by stopping at Reynolds Custom Woodworks shop and met Kris Reynolds. We were both impressed with the quality of Kris' cabinets and knew after that first meeting that we would use Kris for our remodel. While the cabinets are the focal point of the kitchen we needed a carpenter, countertop fabricator, painter, plumber and electrician to pull the project together. We relied on Kris' recommendations for craftsmen who are as fussy about their work as Kris is with his cabinets. Throughout the project we commented to each other about how well this team worked together and how glad we were that we followed Kris' recommendations. We began by collaborating with Kris to put our kitchen ideas into a set of specifications with which everyone could work. Kris was not shy about incorporating his experience with our ideas to create a kitchen plan which exceeded our expectations in every way. We did have the challenge of designing a work area around an existing brick chimney in the middle of our kitchen/dining room. The results are excellent. We both highly recommend Kris Reynolds and wouldn't hesitate to contract with him again for another project.
